How is he able to have a high-fashion line and justify charging exorbitant prices to his designs?
Personally, I think it’s a double standard that he’ll have to overcome through persistence. Nobody questions prices for Gwen Stefani’s L.A.M.B. collections and she sells bags and garments that are also several thousand dollars. As a matter of fact, she gets standing ovations after each of her shows. So where does the difference lie? They are both musicians who decided to get into high-end womenswear later in their careers. Why is Gwen celebrated and Kanye damn near villified?
If you did not know the name and price attached to the shoes, and just looked at them for what them for what they are, would you love ‘em… or leave ‘em?

to answer your question: its because gwen has taste –or at least surrounds herself with gays that have good taste– whereas kanye doesnt have either. at least not when it comes to womens clothing
