Where Too Much Is Just Enough

General Idea S/S 2010

April 1st, 2010 by Tomik Dash

I love this line. Do you know what else I love? That the young designer Bumsuk Choi, has never been to design school, but has already shown 3 collections at NY Fashion Week. Inspired by the people around him and driven to create garments where quality is of the utmost importance, Bumsuk’s collections may easily rival some of high fashion’s biggest staples.

And I have to say, there were some elements that I noticed that made me say, “I’ve seen this somewhere before.” Specifically the sandals on the guys and the black and white geometric print. It reminded me of Givenchy. But it’s obviously not a copy, because it reminded of me Givenchy from the same season, S/S 10.

They say great minds think alike. Well kudos to Bumsuk Choi, for thinking like Ricardo Tisci (Givenchy designer).

Here are my fave pics from the collection.
